    RELEASE DETAILS
Electronic Arts is thrilled to bring the much anticipated sequel to Star Wars Battlefront. Although the first game had holy shit so fucking many many faults, EA has promised that this sequel will feature many upgrades, as well as the addition of other new features.

Star Wars Battlefront II will be released on November 17th, on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 for $59.99. There will be two versions available for purchase.

    STANDARD EDITION: $59.99
    Base Game

    ELITE TROOPER DELUXE EDITION: $79.99
    Trooper Class Upgrade Packs
2 Epic Ability Mods for Kylo Ren and Rey (2 each)
Exclusive Star Wars: The Last Jedi Outfits for Kylo Ren and Rey
Epic Ability Mod to Star Wars: The Last Jedi Millennium Falcon with updated sounds and appearance
Epic Ability Mod for First Order Ship

    GAMEPLAY
Like the previous game, Star Wars Battlefront II will include a single-player story mode and a multiplayer mode. The game will feature a customizable character class system, utilizing content based around the sequel trilogy, the original trilogy, and the prequel trilogy. The hero roster is bigger than ever, including some classics such as Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, and some new ones, like Iden Versio and Kylo Ren.

Players get to follow the main protagonist, Iden Versio, in a full campaign mode. She also just happens to be the leader of an Imperial Special Force known as Inferno Squad and is pretty badass. Travel with the Inferno Squad as you fight your way through the events leading up to The Force Awakens.

Without making the same mistake of having a paid DLC like the previous version, this game will be expanded with free DLC provided to all players with a free EA account. Each DLC will be released in seasons (similar to Overwatch competitive seasons). The first of these seasons will be released on December 13th and will be based off the new movie, The Last Jedi.

IS THERE A WORTHY STORY TO PLAY?
Taking a bit of a twist on the usual perspective, players can dive head-first into the Imperial’s most elite task force. Now, the campaign starts around the time of Return of the Jedi. However, it’s main focus is on the time between then and The Force Awakens. Seeking to crush the Rebellion once and for all, Emperor Palpatine creates and sets a trap using himself and the second Death Star as bait. The Inferno Squad, led by Commander Iden Versio, alongside Agents Gideon Hask and Del Meeko, must be successful at the Battle of Endor, or the Emperor's master plan will fail and the Rebellion will live on.

Iden, a captive on a Rebel Star Cruiser, is interrogated intensely for the secret codes to unlock the intercepted Imperial transmission. She fights hard to resist as best as she can while she waits for rescue. Iden is successful in escaping, and in the process, erases the Imperial transmission in order to keep the mission secret. After a short time-jump, Iden is thrown into the heat of the Battle of Endor. As the Inferno Squad secures the perimeter around a destroyed shield generator, they look up in horror as the Death Star explodes. Barely escaping, Iden and her team meet up with Admiral Versio to learn that the Emperor has died. Before he died, he left one last command for Inferno Squad…”Begin Operation Cinder at once.”

    NOTABLE FEATURES
This game will offer a third-person and first-person perspective as players choose to take to space in epic battles or fight on the planets below in thrilling maps. There are four player classes you can choose from: Officer, Assault, Heavy, and Specialist. As you play, you gain Battle Points, which can then be used to play certain heroes or drive vehicles. New to this game, however, and not very popular, is a loot crate system. Inside these crates are upgrades to gear and other items. You can earn crates by playing the game or, sadly, paying real money.

    CHARACTERS
    IDEN VERSIO

Meet the main protagonist, the ultimate badass of the story. Growing up on the Galactic-controlled planet of Vardos and being the daughter of Admiral Garrick Versio, Iden had a very different view on the galaxy than what everyone is used to seeing. Instead of the normal good guy version, we now get to see the tale from the dark side. After being a TIE fighter pilot for some time, she received a promotion to Commander of the Inferno Squad. She was involved with many different special operations during the Galactic Civil War and was in the famous Battle of Endor.

    GARRICK VERSIO
Garrick was the Admiral of the Imperial Security Bureau, which is basically an intelligence agency of the Galactic Empire. It was him that actually turned his homeworld of Vardos over to the Empire. He was a harsh father, that pushed Iden to her limits. It all paid off when he was able to place her as commander of Inferno Squad.

    GIDEON HASK
Born on Kuat, Hask studied at the Coruscant Imperial University where he graduated top of his class. He also received the Crimson Star for his performances against the enemy. After the Battle of Yavin, he was drafted into the newly-founded Special Forces unit named Inferno Squad.

    DEL MEEKO
Del grew up on Coruscant and was alive during the time of the Jedi. During the Galactic Empire, he worked from the bottom of the ranks to get to where he is today. He started as a stormtrooper, and finally after the Battle of Yavin, got drafted into the Inferno Squad.

    SEYN MARANA
Seyn studied at the Imperial Academy of Uyter, where she managed to graduate a year early as top of her class. Being an excellent sniper, she was soon drafted, after the Battle of Yavin, to join the Inferno Squad.

OH YES MULTIPLAYER FOR THOSE THAT HAVE FRIENDS
Star Wars Battlefront II will be launching with five fun multiplayer modes: Strike, Blast, Starfighter Assault, Heroes vs. Villains and Galactic Assault.

    STRIKE
In the Strike gamemode, two teams of eight players will battle it out in a game of what is basically close-quarters capture-the-flag. One team will be attempting to capture a unique objective from the defenders, while the other team will be defending.

    BLAST
A variation on the Team Deathmatch gamemode, teams of ten will fight it out until one team achieves 100 enemy kills.

    STARFIGHTER ASSAULT
Participate in epic space battles via the Starfighter Assault gamemode. 12 attackers will face off against 12 defenders with 20 AI ships on each side to achieve objectives.

    HEROES VERSUS VILLAINS
It is time to become one with the force. In the Heroes vs. Villains gamemode, four light-side heroes will be pitted against four dark-side villains. This is your chance to re-enact all of your Star Wars dream battles!

    GALACTIC ASSAULT
This gamemode is by far the most popular and most intense. Having two teams of twenty players, battle in a series of team-focused, objective-based maps across all different kinds of iconic locations. Will you end up defeated, or will you be able to rise to the challenge and become a hero?

You should've seen the in-game purchase controversy. Heroes behind paywalls.

Also, this BF2 will never replace the one that got me into games: SWBF2 for PS2.

Sadly I’m hearing a lot of negative things so far... I just can’t buy expensive games like this anymore, it’s hard to find the value with prices like that.

They've released some information regarding the game recently, and that's that the game ain't going to have in-game purchases. Thank god, battlefront re-makes might actually get good now.

Ew a EA p2w game. Really bad. Also in the beta, why tf was rey in the clone wars? This is what bothers me and what i hate about this game. Getting things wrong in the star wars story and also having to unlock heroes?? i don’t understand.. story’s not that bad tho.

Yeahhhhhh I was gonna let it slide being an EA game because I wanted to play a new campaign that was canon with the Star Wars universe. Now that the issue of the of bullshit progression system and terrible microtransactions has come about I can't get myself to buy it lol. The issue is at the magnitude that it has caught the attention of the Bank of America, CNNMoney, the government of Belgium, and more.

LOL, belgian government doing stuff LOL. But tbh they have actually done a lot of regulating on the television around gambling. Would love to see them regulate games a bit. I'm actually proud they are so fast in reacting to it.

But I hope I can trust their statement: https://twitter.com/EAStarWars/status/931332890717143040

"...will become available at a later date." Oh don't you worry, they'll be restoring the bullshit at a later date, just of course after everyone who canceled preorders are now going back to buy it after seeing this statement lol. This statement was clearly a last minute attempt to rescue their sales and this statement has blown up on Reddit as well.

EA only listened to fans cause Disney called them out and told them to do something about it. still a shit company and i wouldn't doubt if the pay 2 win comes back after everyone has forgotten about it in a few months.
