    Release Details
With their previous game, Siesta Fiesta, being released in 2014, Mojo Bones have developed a new, highly anticipated game which Indie Game fans have kept their eye on. Alongside the publisher, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Mojo Bones is proud to announce Impact Winter!

Mojo Bones is a fairly small Indie Game development company who have developed and released a total of four games so far. These games being Tongue Tied (2011), The Curse (2012), The Voyage (2013), and Siesta Fiesta (2014). With Impact Winter soon to be released, they'll have a total of five games under their belt.

Impact Winter will be released on May 22, 2017, for Windows as of right now. However, a version for the Xbox and PlayStation will be released soon. The game will be sold at $19.99 and if you pre-ordered the game, you will receive the Soundtrack in addition to the base game.

    Gameplay
After the asteroids hit and devastated the earth, it was sent into the "impact winter." Your goal is to survive doing whatever you must. In game, you play as Jacob Solomon, and you lead a small team, whose goal is to keep yourself, and the team alive. 30 days surviving the harsh winter while keeping your team alive. 30 days until help arrives.

In Impact Winter, you spend most of your time exploring the world you once knew, scavenging for resources to use for crafting. By crafting items and discovering new locations you level up your Ako-Light, increasing the radius of the rescue beacon and lowering the 30 day timer by a couple of hours.

You are able to loot cars and homes for items, but you have to be careful; wolves are on the prowl and the environment is always changing against you. The constantly-changing environment makes trips from your shelter into the wilderness much more dangerous. This adds more strategies to the game, making for more gameplay and the terrifying thought of being lost in the snow. While out exploring, you are able to place waypoints, giving you more knowledge about your surroundings. You can also memorize landmarks, which can help you find your way back to your shelter.

    Characters

Jacob Solomon - The Leader, born 1976 (Age 42). This is the main character of the game and who you will be playing as during the game. Jacob was not so fortunate and lost his wife and daughter after the impact. Though he has no specialized skills other than his leadership and decision-making abilities, he soon became the team's elected leader.

Blane Bishop - The Officer, born 1950 (Age 68). Being a police officer and Vietnam War veteran who lost his family after the impact, he has many survival skills which help him out tremendously in the time following the impact. With his knowledge and experience, he will be a valuable asset in surviving due to the fact he specializes in crafting equipment.

Maggie Booth - The Mech, born 1984 (Age 34). As her title suggests, she is an expert mechanic and engineer. Need a coffee machine? Done. Need a bed? Done. You ask for it, and she'll build it. She learned her skills at a very young age with her father in his auto-shop. Her father died of cancer in 2009 and ever since, she's carried his tools with her.

    Wendy Dolloway -
The Doc, born 1959 (Age 59). Every group needs a doctor in case of an emergency, and that is exactly what Wendy's skills provide for the group. She a gentle, older woman widowed in 2015, and had lost contact with her family following the impact. In addition, she loves animals and helping them. As an ex-veterinary nurse, she has a strong knowledge of medicine and is an expert cook.

Christophe St. Pierre - The Tech, born 1995 (Age 23). Being a self-confessed geek and computer genius, his responsibilities include upgrading and completing maintenance checks on Ako-Lights. He was an adopted child who never got to know his real parents. By the age of 12 he made his own video game, and at the age of 18, he moved to America and enrolled at Columbia University to study Computer Science.

Ako-Light - A small robotic-like creature found by Christophe after the impact and was reprogrammed to help the group survive. Upgrading it decreases the 30-day countdown by a few hours and increases the radius of the rescue beacon.

And yet another game released not completely developed. Feels like ever since The Forest it's just been these 15-minutes of fame alpha games for $20 bucks coming out and then you never hear from them again and/or they just don't develop really...
