  5. if you could say your budget, it'd help.

I got my epic microsoft lifechat headset for only like $25 bucks including tax. Works like a charm, and their support is great too. Had a little problem and they sent me a new one free.

I'd suggest the Logitech G30(?), the wired one. I've heard a lot of good things about it and I'm planning on getting it within the next few months!

Razer is NEVER the best except for their keyboards. I had no idea people still believed this; their products are generally pretty fragile and "soft", and the audio on their headsets doesn't quite compare to companies like Logitech or Steelseries. I'd even rather have a Turtle Beach headset than a Razer, at least I know it won't be overpriced for the same thing.

Theres no point in buying a nice gaming headset, do what I did, (biased opinion is biased) and get a nice pair of sennheiser headphones, for the audio quality, and a blue yeti mic, you will spend about 250usd if you pick them correct, and have better audio/microphone quality.

  17. That is true, but the sennheisers arent surround headphones and they are for music not gaming....and that blue yeti mic wouldnt go very well in my setup, there wouldnt be anywhere to put it...

I have some Steelseries syberia v2's for when I game with the virtual surround sound, I've had g35's not much different from these directional wise, and the blue yeti doesn't have to be near you as mine is about 5 feet away from me, it picks up voices quite well.

  20. Astros.... are you crazy? They don't even last that long, and the wires are crap.

  21. MLG doesn't sponsor crap headphones..they sponsor the best of the best, and they are the best sounding game headphones in the world.

    Just a few things:

    1. MLG's target audience is 12-17. Don't think they are too concerned with the best of the best, just the best looking. (See: Beats Audio, same deal)

    2. Best game headphones in the world? Do you have anything to back that up? I don't see why their 7.1 would be any better than any other 7.1's, or vice versa.
