Ok so I got a virus last night, not important what I was doing haha use your imagination. What it did was just locked up my computer. Anyway so I did a scan last night on my computer hoping it would get rid of it. When this morning it failed I just restarted my computer, to a certain date, and that seemed to fix it. Buuuut when I first turned it back on my computer was really slow to open stuff up, it was mildly slower than we I had got it the first day before, but this morning more than ever. Anyway I ignored it and it seemed to warm up, assumed it had to set in to get ride of the kinks and it seemed to work. Now I am having trouble opening ventrilo and steam games (not steam) and just high power stuff. Just curious if any of you that are a little more computer smart know if I should be worried or if it's just my computer setting in.

I would keep scanning until you're sure it's gone or the scan finally works. Fuck viruses don't take them lightly..

Not really good at getting my point across, I have to prewrite everything or else I miss points. Anyway I forgot to mention that it kept turning off my anti-virus software when I was on safe mode. (Note that safe mode my screen wasn't locked...Hence teh fact taht I could restart it to a date.) But uhhh yea it's working now so I can assume it's fine?

  4. First of all, retstart your computer and while it is booting up but before windows starts, hit F8. Then you select "Safe Mode" from the list of advanced boot options. After that, open your anti-virus program and run a full scan. When it's finished, restart the computer and see if that helps. Using the safe mode feature is a good way to trouble shoot without much interference. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll see what else you can do.

Well it cleaned up after I rebooted it, but I haven't true it yet today (Sunday morning). So you think I should go the extra mile and reset the whole thing?

  16. What Koodoes and Ninja on crack suggested are the 2 best antoviruses. Unlike other antivirus systems I can use both of these at the same time.
