  1. Today, I had to completely reset my computer to factory settings, and lost quite a few things. I am still setting up things, and currently re-installing my Steam libary. What happened was I got a virus. It was quite a few Trojan viruses which disabled me from fixing them. They screwed up my computer, and it enabled me so I couldnt get WiFi-ethernet cable connection. My antivirus software was fine, but when the virus hit, it couldn't start up. If this so ever happens again [god no] is there any other solution?

  4. Okay. So let me recommend you some Anti-Virus software that will help A LOT.

Webroot SecureAnywhere: This is currently the Anti-Virus program I use... It will warn you as soon as you download something if it is a Trojan/Mauware/Spyware/Etc. and it shows you the file location and name. It is only about 657kb I believe.

    The one I used ^^

CCleaner: Not exactly a Anti-Virus but it will also free up your Hard Drive space when you need it to without deleting important files... I used it and it deleted about 14.9GB of stuff off my Hard Drive. It's about 5.79mb or so.

Another helpful thing is don't download something from a website that isn't trusted... Use Google Chrome. It will alert you if the site is known for Trojans/Spyware/Adware/Mauware/Etc. So don't download stuff from like

    Hope This helps :D

  8. I wouldn't recommend using CCleaner or anything similar like TuneUp - simply because they ruin more than they actually fix.

  11. Get avast antivirus. It's free, it gives you a website rating for Google Chrome(if thats what ur using), and it does what it needs to do.

  14. What's your point? I had 2 antivirus programs when my last one attacked, they didn't detect it... Opened webroot to get rid of it.
Not all antivirus programs detect every virus, they can all scan the same file and only one may find the virus.

  15. dont pay for antivirus.. just use microsoft security essentials... And if you have spare harddrives make backups of key files... or transfer them via FTP to an additional computer that you configured an FTP server on
