I was contemplating putting in new case fans on my computer, but when I checked my CPU temps I was surprised View attachment 1606

Update I got a new low temperature of 18C or 64F which is basically unheard of from what I've seen

18C. Wow that's nice. I get 28-30C on mine while idle at 4.6GHz OC from stock 3.4GHz.(Yes, it's stable! :D)

How the fuck do you overclock 1.2Ghz and stay stable and at those temps? Are you superhuman? And also I got those temperatures while tabbed out of Gmod, and not sure why but my temperatures don't decrease while I'm idling

I haven't fully tested it just yet. "cat /proc/cpuinfo" doesn't want to spit out anything higher than stock, but I think it's bugged. I'll just boot into Windows 7 and run CPU-Z.

Oh and I have a 12 cm fan on the processor itself, one 20 cm fan on top of case for outtake, one 20 cm fan on front for intake, and one 12 cm fan on back which the cpu fan blows directly towards.

Overclocked to 4.1 (Can go to 4.5 Stable) from 3.2 Ghz
Have a Corsair H100i Water cooler, so I can get 40 Celsius(ish) when running on Normal mode, If on max, anywhere down to 30 Celsius

What kind of processors do you guys have? Damn I could probably overclock to 4.2Ghz from 3.8Ghz and be stable, My PSU is 600W and I barely use any of it so I want to upgrade my shitty GeForce GTX 610 before I think about screwing with my processor because I don't need it right now, mainly the graphics card.

The world record for overclocking is like 8.79Ghz but they use liquid nitrogen/liquid helium for cooling

Yeah probably. You should look into some type of water cooling.

I leave mine out in the snow to keep it cool when I'm not using it.

Also consider planting it in your garden and watering it, possibly fertilize it. Then it will sprout and grow through tender care and love.

  18. Nice temps man, cpu temps usually don't get above 50C unless, you have ridiculously bad airflow, you have an AMD cpu, or you are overclocking.

  20. Unless your room temp is kept at a max temperature of 45° F or lower you aren't seeing 18°C temps. Air cooled temps are generally going to be 16° - 25° F warmer than then ambient. Average room temp in most households is running 68° - 76° F. What I believe you have circled is your fan speed settings.

Being that this is a Trinity based laptop, CPU temps can't be calculated, but GPU temps still can which are on the chip itself. I used Game Booster to show the temps, while still using CoreTemp, because CPU-Z wouldn't show the frequency on every core. The reason I'm showing every core is because my APU is supposed to be running 2.3GHz, not 2.7GHz. My laptop is overclocking itself, but it's still <60 C. Kinda freaky but it still works fine xp

  25. Glitch in software then. Like I stated earlier. Unless you have a room temp of 45° or cooler, it is impossible to have temps that low. Even water cooled wont get that low without a peltier.
