Thinking of overclocking my 3570k, I have a z77 mobo and obviously a overclockable CPU but I want water cooling before I start. What's your guy's opinion on water cooling. Custom loop or should you buy something like a corsair h100i?

Depends on how much you're overclocking to, if it's somewhere around 3.8 GHz, don't worry, heavy air cooling or light water cooling would work. If you're going to overclock to around 4.3 GHz, the H100i should be good.

But before you do anything, you should slowly increase the clock speed and check the temperature to test your overclocking efficiency and capabilities. I would stop until your 3570k reaches about 75-80 °C, after 80 is when it can start to get harmful.
