  1. When I start up a valve game, it loads the menu. When I click on "Find multiplayer game" for Garry's Mod, it freezes and I have to end process. This happens in csgo too. I join a lobby, and when the leader hits start, it's the same thing. Yet, I can play singleplayer just fine..

I've tried verifying cache to all my games.
    I've re-installed every game.
I've deleted steam and all folders, and re-installed everything, yet again.
    I've deleted ClientRegistry.blob
    I've Run steam as admin.
    I've run cccleaner.
    I've renamed SteamApps to old_steamapps
I've changed the launch options. (-nosound -window -dxlevel 70 +mat_forcehardwaresync 0, -console, and -autoconfig)
    I've typed vgui_allowhtml 0 in console.
I've disabled AND uninstalled all anti-virus software.
    I've checked ports.
    I've check my firewall.
I've updated windows, my drivers, and directx.
    I've run a memory test.
    I've done Data Execution Prevention,
I've closed background apps that were running.
I've even come down to wiping my hard drive clean.
    Nothing is working.
After I wiped my hard drive, and run gmod, sometimes a few options show up, (like TTT, PERP, GMR) then it will freeze and crash.

How about restarting your computer, maybe that can help.

  5. Just give it a few days... My friend had the same problem...he said none of the Valve games worked... hes done most of the stuff you said, it didn't work. But then today, every thing started working again.
So Yeah, give it a few days.

I'm on Linux and my TF2 would crash constantly. I got a steam update a day ago saying it addresses game crashing. I'm crossing my fingers it doesn't crash again.

  7. It's been weeks now.

I have, multiple times. I've also wiped my computer clean.

  8. Did you install that new steam update that prevents game crashing?

  11. Steam Support doesn't even know. I feel like I'm the only one with so many issues with games.

  12. How do they not know about their own program/games?

  13. They told me they contacted the game support directly and that they'll get back to me. It's all a waiting game.

Do you have your computer plugged in?

I would assume something is wrong with your cooling system or your fan/your video card over heating.

RAM issues, tried doing a proper RAM Check (taking one out at a time and seeing what works?)

  16. I have thought about this, yet it makes no sense. I was able to run everything fine before.

  17. It can't be. I can run single player just fine. Why would multiplayer make any difference?

    Ahh, never knew that.
And because RAM can get damaged at any time, doesn't matter if you don't touch anything.

Also, that could be a network driver issue. Try updating it.

  20. Get a new steam account and get tf2 and that should work.

Way too harsh of a solution.. and just seems illogical to me given there can't be anything wrong with the account.

  23. That would be the only thing that is going to work since you tried everything else. Your welcome :)

  25. UPDATE:
I did Adam's suggestion. I made a new steam, tried TF2, but it does the same thing as all the others.
