    It sucks.

Since your a computer pro, tell me what I can do to improve that even if it means buying a new router, etc.

  4. First, get the fuck away from AT&T U-VERSE, run like a rapist, (Or Abdul) is chasing you.

Then, get a provider that provides 30mbps internet and they should give you a modem, if not, make sure you have an up to par one which is a DOCSIS 3.0, most are. It doesn't really matter which one since your provider should give you one.

Then, depending on how much you wanna spend on a router and your home get a router. If you use Ethernet, just get a 50$ one that isn't wifi, if you use both, get a Belkin n900, or Belkin AC1200 (Mine) Those are both around 130$ and are available at Walmart and Staples, if you would rather order one, get Netgear R6300 which is 175 online and i 200 at walmart or an ASUS Black Diamond, or the Asus RT-N66U.

  5. I do agree, AT&T sucks. My router is a ASUS RT-N56. I love it. They are best for gaming, etc. Only bad thing, is my ISP sucks. I can't open ports, etc.

  6. Opening ports has nothing to do with your isp, its all in your router. Call ur router company if you cant figure it out. And yeah, ur isp does suck :p

  10. Yup, one of my friends that works for them was talking about it. Also, they throttle port 80.

    Mines Still better.

ISPs do NOT block port ranges. Ports are handled via the router. You're doing something wrong.
At MOST, They will THROTTLE a port opening, such as 80. This is just to stop you hosting web servers.

  12. Well, if one of you smart "techies" want to get into this router, then go ahead. I have already re-scoped it, still; nothing.

To be honest, you're best off just moving ISP, Since as you know, yours is Shit.
Soon as thats done, bam, problem solved, fast speeds and able to host shit on open ports.
